Modernumo ir istorijos žaismas
Istoriniame, 140 metų skaičuosiančiame visuomeninės paskirties name įrengtas gyvenamasis būstas mena praeitą šimtmetį, alsuoja ypatinga dvasia. Kuriant interjerą reikėjo tik nieko „nesugadinti“, viską išsaugoti: nuostabi erdvė, už lango žaliuojantys šimtamečiai medžiai, plytų mūras, nuo kurio nupūtėm per laiką susikaupusias dulkes, ir tarsi netikėtas modernus akibrokštas – monolitinės lubos. Funkciškai dėlioti erdves nebuvo paprasta, taikėmės prie esamų sienų,arkų, nišų – išnaudojome kiekvieną centimetrą įrengdami pagalbines patalpas, ir palikdami maksimaliai erdvią svetainę. Norėjome kuo daugiau šviesos, o ji sklido tik iš vaikų kambario pusės, tad teko šiuos kambarius atskirti stiklinėmis atitvaromis. Labiausiai netikėtas šiuose namuose miegamasis – jis tarsi lauke, suprojektuotas prie namo pristatytoje stiklinėje oranžerijoje. Gulint lovoje tau virš galvos tik medžiai ir žvaigždės. Begalinis sąlytis su gamta, nors esi miesto centre.
The play of modernity and history
Housed in a historical 140-year-old building of public purpose, the residence is reminiscent of the last century and is filled with a special spirit. When creating the interior, it was necessary not to "spoil" anything, to preserve everything: a wonderful space, green hundred-year-old trees outside the window, brickwork, from which we blew away the dust that had accumulated over time, and, as if an unexpected modern eye-catcher - the monolithic ceiling. It was not easy to functionally arrange the spaces, we applied to the existing walls, arches, niches - we used every centimeter by installing auxiliary rooms and leaving a maximally spacious living room. We wanted as much light as possible, and it came only from the side of the children's room, so we had to separate these rooms with glass partitions. The most unexpected bedroom in this house is like an outdoor one, designed in a glass conservatory attached to the house. Lying in bed, only the trees and the stars are above your head. Endless contact with nature, even though you are in the city center.
